Prophetic Word By Senior Leader Jamie Overholt

God spoke to me that many in the body of Christ are going to experience and come into a “re-release”. What happens often with God’s people is that God will do a “big reveal” in their life to show them or plant a seed in the individual’s heart of a future purpose or destiny. Often this “big reveal” occurs when they are a little child; young in the Lord; or before they are even believers. It seems that as quickly as this “big reveal” happens that it often is just as quickly removed from their life. This can create confusion or wonder especially if you were a Christian when God revealed the gift or destiny that is on your life and then suddenly the gift or destiny that you were operating in seemingly disappears. For instance, some of us may have experienced open visions, miracles flowing through our life, ease in gaining wealth and so on. Or you may have been in a dream job or dream position at one point and thought that you had “arrived” only to have this change in some way or completely disappear.
We see this kind of thing exampled in the Bible through King David and others. David for instance was anointed as King and had that “big reveal” moment where God showed him part of the calling and destiny on his life only to wait years for that which was revealed to be “re-released” per se and made “official”. Joseph had a “big reveal” moment when God gave him dreams about ruling and reigning and being a leader. This revelation was a seed planted and seemingly quickly “removed” until a later date and time.
I don’t know if any of you are movie enthusiasts but I want you to imagine that an amazing movie came out in theaters and you were overwhelmingly excited about it and thoroughly enjoyed getting to watch it only to have it premier for a very short span of time. As exciting as the release of the movie was it’s a little bitter sweet because as quickly as it’s here it’s gone. This is what happens with His children at times as I’ve alluded to already. We have this big release of a new exciting part of our life’s calling but sometimes [not always] it’s short lived. After a short amount of time though the movie is “re-released” per se when it comes out on DVD, Blu-ray or other main stream media venues etc. When it is re-released then it is yours forever. It’s no longer a short lived hope, dream or flash of destiny and excitement. This is where I believe many of us are. He is “re-releasing” gifts, callings, destinies, operations and so on and they are meant to remain now.
In Numbers 17 God has Moses gather for Him all the rods/staffs of the leaders of tribes. Granted this was to get rid of animosity, grumbling and complaining it was also to evidence the fullness of the calling that was on Aaron’s life. In this release and “re-release” moment it’s as if God shows us that we are indeed a leader and called because He somehow reveals to us that we, like Aaron, have a staff/rod but then He takes that rod/staff from us and hides it away for a time. This is where we get perplexed at times if we weren’t already perplexed at what He did through us, on us or in us during the initial ”release stage”. We wonder why this ability, gift, call, purpose or destiny is taken away but all the while God is letting it incubate, soak and come to fullness in His presence for a season to only then prove at the “re-release” that we were called, gifted, purposed and destined the whole time.
Numbers 17:5-8 (NASB) 5 It will come about that the rod of the man whom I choose will sprout. Thus I will lessen from upon Myself the grumblings of the sons of Israel, who are grumbling against you.” 6 Moses therefore spoke to the sons of Israel, and all their leaders gave him a rod apiece, for each leader according to their fathers’ households, twelve rods, with the rod of Aaron among their rods. 7 So Moses deposited the rods before the Lord in the tent of the testimony. 8 Now on the next day Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds.
If our rod/staff; leadership call; destiny; gifting; purpose wasn’t hidden or taken behind the veil for a time then it will never sprout, bud, blossom and put forth the fruit God wants it too. When Aarons rod was “re-released” it was evident the call and destiny on his life and it would no longer be a question in his heart. Again, I believe this is what is happening for us. God is re-releasing what He had initiated in us, through us or on us in a past time. He is re-releasing gifts, callings and destinies into fullness because you have withstood the night hours of waiting, persevering, character growth and so on. And when it is “re-released” it won’t be taken away but will only gain momentum and influence. Be encouraged because God is on your side and is propelling you into a season of full bloom!
